Abstract
Financial literacy has emerged as a critical life skill that significantly impacts personal decision-making, career readiness, and long-term economic stability. This research explores the relationship between financial literacy and academic achievement among students, emphasizing how economic education contributes to improved cognitive, behavioral, and academic outcomes. Data were collected from 1,200 students across 25 schools and universities in both urban and rural regions between 2019–2024. Quantitative analysis revealed a positive correlation between financial literacy levels and academic performance, particularly in subjects related to mathematics, economics, and business studies. The study also investigates the mediating role of socioeconomic status, parental education, and access to financial education programs. Findings highlight that integrating financial education into the curriculum enhances not only financial competence but also problem-solving, time management, and critical thinking skills. The paper concludes with recommendations for educational policy reforms, institutional frameworks, and pedagogical innovations aimed at embedding financial literacy within mainstream education systems.
