Abstract
The widespread adoption of work-from-home (WFH) practices, accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic, has reshaped professional and personal life globally. While offering flexibility, reduced commuting, and enhanced work-life integration, remote work has also altered family dynamics and social behavior in significant ways. This research investigates the positive and negative consequences of WFH culture on family relationships, household responsibilities, social interactions, and psychological well-being. Using a mixed-method design, surveys and interviews were conducted with 350 professionals across diverse industries, supported by comparative analysis (Tables 1 and 2). Findings suggest that WFH fosters greater family bonding and flexibility but simultaneously increases conflicts due to blurred boundaries between professional and personal roles. Social behaviors, including reduced physical interactions and increased reliance on digital communication, have impacted mental health and community engagement. The paper concludes that sustainable WFH models require balanced policies, technological support, and strategies for managing family and social responsibilities.
