Case Study Method in Human Rights Education: An Approach from the Rights-Based Framework

Abstract
In the context of higher education reform toward developing learners' competencies, selecting appropriate teaching methods is one of the key factors in preparing learners to adapt to an increasingly volatile and changing world. In particular, when teaching human rights, which is an important educational content for developing awareness, competencies, and a sense of human rights in learners' future professional lives, selecting appropriate teaching methods is an issue that needs to be addressed. Based on an analysis of the advantages of the case study method from a rights-based approach, this article examines the current application of the case study method in human rights education in Vietnam. It then proposes solutions to improve the effectiveness of applying the case study method to human rights education at higher education institutions in Vietnam in the context of international integration.
