Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic accelerated digital transformation across educational institutions worldwide, forcing a rapid shift from traditional learning systems to technology-driven ecosystems. This research explores the financial challenges, managerial responses, and sustainability strategies adopted by universities and schools during and after the pandemic. Using a mixed-methods approach, the study investigates budget reallocations, IT infrastructure investments, staff training costs, and the financial burden of digital equity initiatives. Data were collected from 30 institutions across Asia, Europe, and North America between 2020–2024. The results indicate that while digital transformation enhanced educational accessibility and flexibility, it also created substantial financial strain due to rising technology costs and inadequate funding mechanisms. Managerial responses—such as public-private partnerships, hybrid learning models, and strategic budgeting—have played a crucial role in mitigating long-term risks. The study concludes by emphasizing the need for policy innovation, sustainable funding, and capacity-building measures to strengthen the financial resilience of educational institutions in the post-pandemic digital age
