Abstract

The study assessed the availability and utilisation of online platforms and platforms in Christian Religion Education in Lagos State University, Ojo. Nigeria. Inadequate provision and utilisation of new technology facilities by teachers could result in producing graduates with only theoretical knowledge and less experience in practical courses which required the application of ICT skills. A Christian Religion Education is considered a veritable instrument for preparing students for development of a solid moral foundation based on Christian values and encourages them to navigate complex ethical dilemmas in their personal and professional lives. A descriptive survey research design was used. A sample of 200 students of Christian Religion Education through a random sampling technique. A structured questionnaire was used to collect data which were analyzed using mean and standard deviation to answer research questions. The findings of the study revealed that there are online platforms and resources accessible and they are used by both lecturers (instructors) and students in christian religion education programmes. It was therefore recommended that teaching and learning of Christian Religion Education in tertiary instituitons should be encouraged by the Nigeria government and ensure that online platforms and resources are suppliedd and made available.
