Mobilizing Agricultural Natural Resources for Development and Reducing the Risk of Food Insecurity in Cameroon

Abstract
This article proposes a practical model for organic agriculture (OA) that can strengthen the volume and quality of organic crop production and better combat food insecurity (FI) in Cameroon during periods of persistent heatwaves. We therefore needed to construct pairs of crops and agroecological zones suitable for high-temperature conditions. This objective was achieved by applying the Gale and Shapley model (1962). The results show that, to benefit from OA and control the risk of FI, each OA crop should be grown in the agroecological zone most favorable to its productivity. However, the success of this practice depends on increased funding for projects by organic and technological developers in agriculture and on improving knowledge of local meteorology. Furthermore, it is necessary to facilitate public and private investment in each region for the creation of sustainable processing infrastructure by developing appropriate industrial zones for processing harvested products. Emphasizing the optimal use of renewable energy sources, essential for better orientation of national economic policy towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
