Abstract
Rural agribusinesses play a pivotal role in fostering economic resilience, food security, and sustainable livelihoods, particularly in regions vulnerable to climate change. This review explores the intersection of agribusiness innovation, climate resilience, and rural economic inclusivity through technological adoption, institutional support, and policy integration. It examines how innovations such as digital agriculture, precision farming, sustainable value-chain models, and green financing mechanisms contribute to adaptive capacity and environmental stewardship in rural economies. The paper also assesses barriers to innovation—including limited infrastructure, inadequate access to finance, and knowledge gaps—and highlights best practices for scaling sustainable agribusiness models. By analyzing global and regional case studies, the review underscores the importance of inclusive business ecosystems that empower smallholder farmers, promote gender equity, and integrate climate-smart approaches. Ultimately, it provides a roadmap for developing adaptive rural agribusiness frameworks that enhance productivity, foster community resilience, and support equitable economic growth in the face of climate uncertainties.
