Abstract

This study examined aviation students’ perceptions of gender inclusivity and safety culture at the National Aviation Academy of the Philippines–Lipa Campus. Using a quantitative descriptive-comparative design, data were collected from 664 students through a researcher-developed questionnaire. Frequency, percentage, weighted mean, and independent-samples t-test were used to analyze the data. Results showed that respondents strongly agreed that the campus environment promotes respect and interpersonal treatment, inclusion and equal participation, institutional support and gender sensitivity, and safety culture and reporting mechanisms. Inclusion and equal participation obtained the highest grand weighted mean of 4.52, while institutional support and gender sensitivity received the lowest at 4.47. No significant differences were found between male and female students’ perceptions of gender inclusivity (p = .613) and safety culture (p = .463). The study concludes that the campus has established a gender-inclusive safety culture, while recommending confidential reporting systems, training, visible support services, mentorship, and continuous assessment.
