Abstract

This study aimed to determine the desirable factors and their relationship with teachers’ performance in Polanco I and II Districts, Schools Division of Zamboanga del Norte, during School Year 2022–2023. The study employed a descriptive-correlational research design and involved 132 teacher-respondents from the identified districts. Weighted mean, standard deviation, and Spearman rank-order correlation coefficient were used as statistical tools, with jamovi as the statistical software. Findings revealed that the level of desirable factors was high, while the level of teachers’ performance was very satisfactory. Moreover, the study found no significant relationship between desirable factors and teachers’ performance. Based on the findings, it is recommended that DepEd officials, through the Schools Governance and Operations Division and the Curriculum Implementation Division, use the results as a basis for crafting training proposals that may further strengthen desirable factors and sustain teachers’ performance. School heads may also utilize the findings as a basis for providing technical assistance to teachers. Likewise, teachers may use the results for reflective practice and continuous improvement of their professional performance.
